2025 First-Class Forever Stamp – Betty White

About the stamp design: The portrait of Betty White based on a 2010 photo by Kwaku Alston was created digitally by Dale Stephanos. Greg Breeding designed the stamp, which pictures the star in a blue polka-dot top. The violet background with light purple bubbles captures White’s bright and joyful personality that made her a Hollywood mainstay for decades.

First Day City: The First Day Ceremony for this stamp was held at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Betty White had long been an animal lover and was a trustee, donor, and associate of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (GLAZA) and an “Ambassador to the Animals” of the City of Los Angeles.

History the stamp represents: Betty White, born on January 17, 1922, was a beloved American actress and comedian whose career spanned over eight decades. She began in radio before transitioning to television in its early days becoming a pioneer as one of the first women to produce and star in a sitcom, Life with Elizabeth, in the 1950s. Her wit, warmth, and impeccable comedic timing won over generations of fans.
